Can I use my fonts in Figma?

Desktop Figma Version

If you're using the desktop version of Figma, you can easily use your custom fonts. Here's how:

  1. Install New Fonts on Your Operating System: First, you need to install the fonts you want to use on your computer. This can usually be done by downloading the font files (usually in .ttf or .otf format) and installing them through your operating system's font installation process.
  2. Automatic Detection by Figma: Once you've installed the new fonts on your operating system, Figma will automatically detect and make them available within the application. You can then use these fonts in your designs without any further steps.

Web Version of Figma

If you're using the web version of Figma, the process is slightly different:

  1. Install Figma Font Installer: To use custom fonts in the web version of Figma, you need to install the "Figma Font Installer" from their website. You can usually find this installer in the Figma settings or preferences section on their website.
  2. Install New Fonts on Your Operating System: After installing the Figma Font Installer, you still need to install the custom fonts on your computer using the same method as mentioned for the desktop version. Download the font files and install them through your operating system's font installation process.
  3. Fonts Available in Figma: Once you've completed the above steps, Figma will now be able to access and use the custom fonts you installed. You can start using these fonts in your web-based designs right away.

Now you can enjoy the freedom of using your preferred fonts to create beautiful designs in Figma!
